There is a great write up by enemytoast further down in this thread http://asog.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,30/topic,3163.0 and or the very first write-up under the "how-to" thread all about our transmissions and what they need to stay healthy. If you are just going to drain the pan and change the filter I think it's like 4.9 quarts but I would recommend that you take a look and read through these threads for a wealth of very helpful information. Good luck.

ATF+4 ONLY

12-14 qts for the whole thing.

Make sure you put in a new torque converter and make sure the torque converter has fluid in it.

The only torque converter I would put in one of these cars.

If you got a rebuilt or new transmission, it usually voids the warranty if you don't.

The reason they say to put in a new converter is because when your old transmission goes out, the converter usually gets filled with crap from the clutches slipping and there is no way to get that out.

And if you had problems with the old transmission slipping you over heated the fluid which can damage the converter.

yes...but you won't need that much with used parts.

replace the filter in the trans...put in 4 qts and start it up and check and add until where it should be.
