" 62TE The 62TE is a six-speed derivative of the 41TE first introduced with the 2007 Chrysler Sebring, and used on the 3.5 L EGJ V6. It is also used on Pacificas equipped with the 4.0 L V6."
so does neone kno what would have to be done to get the 62te onto the 2.5/3.0L? im guessing due to the difference in years the wiring may be a bit different. size? just checking for any info.
The first blush is that there is no mitsu variant in production at Chrysler any longer so the bellhousing boltpattern and notch for the coolant pipe are gone. Second hurdle would be the new "squashed" converter in newer f4a22 and 62te. Finally, and perhaps the third strike is...no software to convert either the new RPM signal for EATX and the mitsu speed equivalent espoused in another article on here.
Its a great thought...but I am also thinking ...how about the 4.0 and 62te from the pacifica or minivan in its entirety! deep six the mitsu stuff and sub an autostick and Pcm from late model
lmao!! the 3.5 had enough trouble fitting!! i mean, the idea of a 6 speed is nice....real nice...drooling nice...i will do one...i will do one..when my car is paid off and i have another daily driver
time out ...this is not the mitsu 3.5 we are talking about. The 4.0 is based on the 3.5l like the old intrepid had...fully domestic....making this a 100% mopar when your done.
