they are in the wrong area the nose looks off with the lights below the body line.there is a rear fender flare that is to pronounced too but otherwise the car looks great. a turbo diesel that will perform with good power, now loose the oversized wheels and change some of the more out there styling bits and its a done deal for production. i hope it does come to see the light of day though i dont like the lights they may grow on me if the rest of the car is good.
The 2nd gen eclipse was considered 'out there styling' and we see how frickin awesome it is then and now. To me, this 5th gen is a proper step forward in the eclipse breed. The first generation eclipse hints subtlely at an aggressiveness and dominance that we see in the form of the 4g63t. The second generation is like a perfect panther. Fast, powerful, sleek, and beautiful to watch in motion. The third generation is more about functionality with it's streamlined body than it is true style or functionality [the GT's have a governor at 105mph.. bye bye GT see you when you get to the finish line]. The fourth generation brought about a more exotic smoothness trying to recapture the essences of the 1st and 2nd generations. Performance was increased slightly but not enough to justify having the true spirit of the 1st and 2nd gens.
Just as the Evo has reached a height in style and grace that is truly worthy of it's perfomance, so has this 5th generation. With my first car, i would sit there and try to race anything [safely, but still] regardless of how outmatched i might be. there were always arrogant mustang owners who didn't know how to drive their car properly in my city. However, I would never try to race a 2nd gen eclipse because i knew: regardless of the driver, the true essence of an eclipse would be the winning factor unless i had a car that was of equal or greater power. Even with the doors open, just sitting there, this 5th gen silently promises to make you regret trying to beat it.
The headlights remind me of Transformers, and the rest of it screams F-22 Raptor. Now, would you rather have a bubbley 4g or that which gives close minded [those who would never own one] Mustang enthusiasts nightmares of being pushed to the back burner [they are very attention needy].
the torque has nothing to do with spooling the turbo.
DIESEL FTW dummy they are great engines. compression ignition is the siht.
and revs dont matter if you have enough torque. diesels can destroy gas engine if given the right things, usually they are in heavy duty applications cause they are extremely durable and then there are the dimiutive diesels that are just for good fuel economy. I will never forget the night i saw a Ford f 350 dualie beat a lancer...BAD
