A hybrid is the culmination of 2 different types of anything that have the same purpose and give the same end result in the attempt of achieving that end result more efficiently.

End result of a Prius   = Environmental Destruction
End result of a HumV = Environmental Destruction

turbine engine is not a bad way to go. sounds a lot like a jet engine, but it makes the rotation and all.
i love jet and turbine engines by the way. anything that can cause a large hunk of metal go flying through the air at over the speed of sound is good. turbine engines can run off of kerosene and still make massive power. thats friendly.

lol. only problem is the warm up time and how long [compared to cars] it takes the engine to start to noticeably move the jet.

just pretend its winter all year round...w/o the cold Wink. jet engines run better at high altitudes, love the fact they use kerosene...so that's cheep! Cool. ...i wonder y they didnt do taht with cars in the first place....

Jets dont use kerosene...the racing boats do and make well over 4k horesypower, thats on turbine engines not unlike whats in helocopters.

Yeah it takes them a little bit of time to get moving but once they are...no contest. internal combustion engines cant use kerosene as far as i know without heavy modifications...and not the performace type of mods either.
