We put the Explorer up for sale and started looking for something in the midsize 2 or 4 door area. We looked for Camry's Sebring's, Accord's etc...
The search came up with cars that had high mileage and needed some work... not worth it... A friend of mines parents just recently purchased a car for his sister, and got a good deal, so we took a ride by the dealer that they purchased it at. They had a 1999 Chrysler Sebring LXi coupe with 90K miles in really good condition, So we took it for a test drive and bought it!

So We picked it up Monday, got it insured and registered, and that was that!
Today he had Baseball practice, he got in the car and left... 15 minutes later we get a phone call... He was in an accident

And this is what caused the accident:

He was traveling straight through the green light when the 77 year old woman failed to yield to on coming traffic. My brother hit the brakes as hard as he could, but it was inevitable. The driver of the Civic was cited for failing to yeild, and was sent to the hospital. The Sebring took the wheel clean off the Civic, ripped the half shaft right out of the transmission... and the passenger, the drivers daughter got out of the car and started yelling at me brother, and from his words "look what you did to her car!"
Looks to be totaled
but he will probably get WAY more then he paid
Now the friggin car starts AGAIN...
He's ok, the car did its job protecting him...
