How do i fix this?
« on: January 09, 2008, 05:50:59 AM »

Hi. here is the thing, ive been in a lil fender bender, messed up my hood, the upper part of the bumper where it has 5 holes for the bolts to screw into the bumper support bracket was cracked, so i just shaved the whole piece of and the only thing thats holding my bumper right now are 4 zip ties. not sure what to do, but for now, it holds. and my radiator support, radiator and the right headlight were damaged as well. i replalced the hood and the radiator and bought a used headlight, and have some one pull up my radiator support back to its place. luckly, only the passenger side of the radiator support was pushed in, not all of it, so i was lucky.
however, here is the thing. after i put in the hood that i bought from the junk yard, and after i put the bumper back to its place, it seems like there is a space between the hood and the bupmer.
can any one tell me why is there a space in there? I attached some pics, please let me know. also, i dont know why, but for some reason, the right side of the hood is not aligned properly and is not sitting the way it should if you take a close look at the picture.

I'd guess that the radiator support is still bent and not allowing the hood to sit properly ,you need to bend it right then adjust the rubber feet on it to get the hood to sit right ...
And fix the front of the bumper as it's sagging and gapping

which rubber feet are you reffering to? the ones that are sitting on the bottom under the radiator on each side?

i am not sure which part you are talking about. are you talking about the metal bracket? or the piece of the actual bumper from behind. the part that I am talking about is the actualy piece of the bumper that is located in the back of the bumper that basically sits on the bumper bracket support and has 5 holes in them for the screws/bolts to be bolted on into the bumper bracket support.
that piece basically cracked when the fender bender happened.
what can i do to fix it? or can i make my own piece and epoxy it or glued into the bumper where its place is supposed to be so i can have the 5 screws holding the bumper from the top again like before?
