Hi Guys. well, il make this quick and short as possible. My radiator that i had for the past 2 years cracked after i got into a fender bender a month ago. I went and got a used one in a junk yard for 50 bucks, it was from a 2000 chrysler sebring, and i have a 97 avenger. i took out the broken radiator from my 97 avegner, and i noticed it has 2 legs on the bottom of the radiator, and 2 legs on top of the radiator, 1 on each side, 4 in total. I noticed that when i bought the used radiator from the junk yard, it was missing its 2 bottom legs. and i figured that i can just use the remaining legs from my stock radiaot that broke, and just epoxy/glue them to this radiator that i bought rom the junkyard. now, what i noticed is that the bottom of the radiator legs, have small holes on the legs themself, like very very tiny holes. i didnt know what those holes were at the begining, and the i came to the wrong conclusion thinking that they were draining holes for the water to go out the radiator whenever there is over-water. so what i did was i drilled 2 tiny holes on each side of the radiator, for the water to flow out into these legs and evantually out of the car. then after that, i glued those 2 legs back into the radiator{where i drilled the holes at}, and have it dry out and stick. after i installed the radiator back in the car, it looks like water is dripping from the driver side of the radiator{where i drilled the 2 holes at}, and my car keeps overheating after 10 minutes, and the water keeps going away until its empty. so what i what to know, did i make a mistake by drilling these holes on the bottom of the radiator? i spoke to some one and it looks like i should have never drilled these holes on the radiator, and water is not supposed to drip/leak from the bottom of the radiator ever. some one please verify this with me.
The bottom mounts were likely broke in a wreck that totalled it ... Drilling into it didn't help it ... I'd try to return it to the yard don't tell them you drilled it just tell them It leaked when installed might be able to get your $$$ back ....
i would say do it once, do it right..you never really know the condition of your ebay vital engine parts. many of them are just universal aftermarket replacements that fit 100's of cars. just pay a little extra and get a new one that has a warranty.

LOL, im a noob. I dont know why I wrote DK, but for some reason i was sure its DK because when i was typing that reply{Thanks DK} I was thinking of bow wow telling that american guy, "Thats DK" in Fast and Furious - Tokyo Drift, lol, and the guy asked him whats DK stands for?? Donkey Kong.. lol
