well dont know if you really call it a mod. but i decided to spray tint my tail lights here are some pics enjoy

first coat


second coat


tale lights on car




still have to clear coat and seal them and thye till alot cleaner. but for now i like them. [/img]

yeah. just make sure that your local 5.0 sees them from the 'looks good' standpoint and not the 'but i'm going to have to write you a ticket' standpoint.

Btw, take a picture of what you used for the tint since you have a nice camera there.

If you used night shades DO NOT clear coat they'll turn white and milky ... Use buffing compounds and waxs to smooth them out

I use 3M perfect it II on a yellow foam pad ...slow speed then follow with a good grade of wax (whatever you use)

lol it does a bit. i agree that you should black out the third brake light too. and you should really check on the legality of tinted lights before you get into the sealer though. unless you don't care at all then procede, enjoy the tickets, i know quite a few people that would sacrifice that much for something as simple as tinted taillights, or underglow, or tinted headlights, or the UBER-bright headlights, or___, or___, or____,etc....fill in the blank, im sure we all know people like this though.

i have a friend whos uncle who is chief of police i talked to him and met with him. he said that im good. as long the 3rd brake like issnt blacked out and the tail lights still admit a red glow. which they do im good
