Hello, I am a new guy that has been reading and learning a lot off of many of you from the two forums over the last couple months since I picked up my '97 es. I am planning on making it a fun fix up project. This car will never be on the "the road" again in its life.
Has anyone ever installed a fuel cell in the trunk of an avenger before? I am going to attempt it, but I have have never done so before and am looking for some advice. I have a 5 gallon summitracing fuel cell with a bladder and baffled for slosh and stuff. My questions start there?? I understand I will need an external pump? Will this one work??---->
http://www.msdfuelinjection.com/efi_fuelpump.html What is the stock fuel pressure for a 2.5/3.0??? I am guessing that the stock pressure regulator is on the pump(or in the tank at least) so I will need to purchase an aftermarket fp regulator as well to place after the external pump? Is it that simple? What am I missing? I am assuming there are just send and return fuel lines I will have to deal with?? I am just doing this for safety/weight reduction, I won't be doing alot of major hp increasing so I won't need a special fuel system install. Just something simple.
Thank you again for your help. It is all appreciated.
