Gas Burning
« on: December 28, 2007, 08:47:47 PM »

My 98 Avenger gets fairly good gas mileage, but at idle all I can smell is gas, especially right after start up.  I was just wondering if this is a normal problem or if there is something wrong.

The choke circuit enriches the car at cold start... you might be normal or it could be too rich if it lasts for a minute or so (till the car warms up) you might be ok if it lasts longer it might be staying on but the gas mileage would be terrible
