Ride Heights???
« on: December 03, 2007, 02:34:03 AM »

Alrighty, I was just wondering about everyones Ride heights.

I think my car is stock and it measures, 27" inches from the top dead center of the front wheel well and 27" in the rear.  My car scrapes everytime I come in the driveway, and I have 215/60 series tires on it as well.... Huh

Just curious what you lowered boys are running height wise, and if anyone else with a stock car could post as well.

Scraping at stock height is normal.  My parents own my old avenger now that I have moved to Canada and have broken off part of the front air dam just going in and out of their driveway.  Our 1st gen sebring here has had too much done over the years to it to be a good comparison for you.  Taking things at a slight angle helps not to scrape I have always found...even lowered.  Good luck!

When we lowered the 95 Sebring it was less than two inches off the ground.. we drove carefully and took smooth roads..lol.  Tho the suspension on these cars is ideal at the stock ride height.. you're messing with the geometery if you lower.  RMDSM swaybars and stiffer shocks and your good to go.

seriously i've scraped 2 times when i was on stock set up just because i was getting used to the car.  venges/sebring got long front bumper so you have to take most bumps under an angle.  when i dropped it (1.8" i think), never scrapped anything if you take it slow and angled.

Yea I learned it's only the mud flaps that scrape on the Venge, (had the BF watch lol) Ive never hit the nose or bottomed it out apparently.  And as for long noses, I always figured the Venge has a rather short pugish nose lol...

But it all fairness I learned on this monster....
