There was a guy on ASOG years ago that drove from (I think) Arkansas to Ontario just so Dave could rebuild his entire engine. He had all the parts and between him and Dave and a few others from ASOG Ontario they tore it apart Friday and he was back on the road and heading home Sunday night. Of course a few months after that somone hit him and they totaled his car...lol. Poor guy. I think he got an Audi after that.

I could do a write up on it if you guys are serious. But I don't want to take the time if it's not going to happen. I very busy. Eating cookies and playing NFS ProStreet (not as good as the Underground series).

Mod List. Um WAY too many to fit on here. But the engine can handle about 800HP

Hey, how you doing : ) Im glad to see that there is some one else in new jersey, especially some one that is willing to offer some help with this. I am in eatontown, new jersey!!! The thing is that i dont know much about this engine as well, but hey, its better to have 2 brains, or 3 brains working on one thing, rather than 1 brain. DT is actually willing to write down the instructions on how to pull out the motor, and put the new one if I believe, so we can use his help, which is much appreciated. I am pretty much on a stand by right now and ready to go with this as soon as some one is willing to help me get with this thing going on.
I am very serious about this, because if I wont take this opportunity, I will regret going a different which is going to a shop and paying houndreds and houndreds of dollars. and I just want to get this baby back on the road again.

You can always buy a FSM (Factory Service Manual), that will have every detail of every repair imaginable in it. If you were closer I'd help, I do all my own engine work and swaps. I've R&R'd 5 or 6 different engines in my '72 D100, 2 in other trucks I owned, 3 in my GLHS, etc. And of course, there's the '96 Avenger engine I'm swapping into my '84 Charger But, I'm in SC, about 10-12 hours away.
If you take your time and don't overly force anything, it's not hard to do if you are mechanically inclined. Make sure you keep all your bolts sorted out as you pull it out, so you can remember where they go.
Everyone started with not knowing. Dave even started with the Service Manual and all the parts labeled in plastic baggies. Now he can do it with his eyes shut almost I think...lol.
Finding someone in your area that can help is a great way. Glad he can give you a hand maybe. ASOG has a great bunch of people all wanting to give a hand. Good Luck!

dt when am i not serious about doing something. im very serious about getting the headers and fuel rails for my car and putting a turbo into it, but im seriously saying i cant afford it. i CAN however afford to HELP someone swap an engine, and its the same engine going in so i hope it will be pretty easy
