Do not throw parts at it until you have properly diagnosed it!!!

A mechanic at a local shop here got a trans code in a landrover regarding 4th gear synchro's or something of that nature, it was an unusual code. Mechanic had the trans built TWICE and could not figure out why it was still throwing the code.

Solution...?



Mass Air Flow sensor. MAF sensors do not have their own codes and instead trigger other codes.

Lets just say that mechanic ate quite a big job.

wow that sucks!

Yea, still hasn't came on again, i'm goin to have a buddy try and pull some history codes this weekend
