« on: December 03, 2007, 01:24:11 AM »

okay i hav had my 96' avenger for 8 years, it just started to have problems starting. Cry when its warm its okay fires right up, but lately if cold i can sit their for hrs cranking it over and over will never start. it does kinda misfire but thats about it. i have changed plug, wires, coil pack and no luck. i know im getin fuel cause after cranking and cranking if i pull the plugs i can smell gas sick. i have checked the cam gear marks and they seem to right on, have yet to look at the crank triangle to see if it lines up. like i said once she does start up she will kick and jump but after gettin warmed up she is fine all day.....
thank u for any help
mike

p.s. i re did the coil pack plug wire and for got if it goes brown, red black, blue black. i know for sure red black is the center wire, if anyone could help with this thanks

Wild shot, but maybe your MAP is going bad.  Cold air has a different density than warm, maybe that's messing with your readings.  Any CELS??

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

Leaky injectors maybe. Why did you cut your coil pack plug off? Or did you just remove the wire terminals from the plug?

It should go as follows

Brown
Black/Blue
Black/Red

Does it do it in warm and cold weather?  If not in warm weather what temperature are you at.  What plugs did you use?
