seatbelt question for those who have replaced seats
« on: January 06, 2006, 09:29:38 PM »

i guess this is for those who have put seats in from another kinda vehicle in yours.

how did ya make the seatbelts work? we are thinking of grinding the metal male part of the belt to fit in the female connector on the new seat as its too large and won't fit. for some reason, the whole issue with the seatbelts possibly not fitting didn't even cross my mind when i put the seats in. after the pain in the ass of getting them in and bolted down, i gotta get the seatbelts working or i won't pass inspection this spring.

do i have to change out the entire seatbelt with one from the same car i got my seats from or is there an easier way to get my belts to work?

I'm ASSUMING you are using the existing venge belts and they won't fit in the buckles of the new seats ...I'd unbolt the venge buckles and either weld a mount into the seat bracket or unbolt the "new" buckle and bolt the venge one in ....
