I think I either going dark silver or a metallic blue (similar to the ford below) with black corvette grand sport stripes
I was thinking and I'll probably wait until spring, lots of snow and salt in michigan so it would be a waste to get it painted then drive it thru the elements

If you go Maaco DONT get a Gold, or silver. They show EVERY scratch mark left from the prep job. Silvers/Golds suck lol As for the dark colors, if you are doing the body work yourself, and prepping the primer thats fine then, if not dont go for dark colors they show all dents, and ripples.
As for color change, Maaco charges 300, even for doing all the jambs and inners?? thats crazy Id check on that usually they mask everything off so it will peel if you hit it or get a chip, and they dont do inners.. Id say take everything off yourself but its kinda hard to pull of door handles and drive it.

it's 299.95 + tax so like 310 for a whole car WITHOUT door jambs/under hood etc which I can do myself just fine.
My dad taught me a few tricks when it comes to body work. He took a bunch of classes way back when for that stuff. Since the car has some dents that wont come out perfect, i need to pick a light color...i wanted a silver but looks like i'll pass on that note! lol
maybe a dark silver will look better or maybe a quasar blue

and to just continue this topic, i agree with JBI - flat black looks very nice/aggressive IF done properly
also on a side note, i took 1 year of a body class during high school times and we worked on some people's cars. if you are willing to wait some time, some school will get your car fixed/painted for a low cost (only supplies). labor is free since ur car is a subject to work on and good teachers allow only very good skilled students work on such vehicle (tarded kids work on donated beaters haha). or also ask teacher if he knows of a possible hook up, talk a deal and he himself might paint your car with all prep work done by students.
we had several cars that got full repaint, student's car and some "customers"
just a thought... OR just do a DIY paint job with a box of flat black paint
