Oh and for some reason, the only way that the beeping stops when it starts. Is to turn the headlights full on then off.  For some reason the car will then let me lock my doors, and the security light come on. lol

I know the names I made up for that switch...

BTW, these cars have what DSM called Central door locks. If you had power locks...you could unlock both doors from one side. Typically you could pop the drivers side lock from the pass side by using the key. also they relock if if the key doesn't get put in the ignition in thirty seconds as a security feature. I have unlocked my car. tossed my keys in, closed the door,  and done a couple more things and then returned to find them sitting on the seat locked in.  My bad!

Chivalry is alive...or so the japanese thought. Made it where you could unlock the door for a lady then not have to do it again on the other side for yourself.

It is part of the ETACS...electronic time and alarm control system. and definitely needs good grounds and door switches to function. THe door lock relay is on the center hump...you  can hear it click usually to find it.

The door ajar switch is an input. Also master door switches could just be flaky...be careful...most people push on them too hard and break them out of the door panel.
