Do you have a multimeter or just a test light? If you have a multimeter set it to continuity and check to see if any of your wires are grounding out. Did you unplug the wires from the ignition or just cut them open. If you left them connected to the ignition they might be grounding out through there if the ignition is bad.

Well, I bought an ECU that I'll try to resell and I bought a new battery since the old one didn't take a charge at the parts store. We'll see tomorrow what the bill is at the shop, hopefully he'll use some lube before he tries to rape me.
