CEL Codes 11 and 12
« on: November 08, 2007, 01:21:41 PM »

I am having some problems with my 2.0 n/a.  its a 5-sp manual.  Some days it will be fine and lately its been getting worse.  I am getting codes 11 and 12, even though there doesnt seem to be a code 12 in the manual, using the CEL flash method.  Either while driving or sometimes at idle the car will just start to frantically putter and will not allow it accelerate. this is proving to be pretty problematic while driving and I need to figure it out.  I have been getting ground problems recently where I have lost ground to my blinkers, horn, and I think my radiator fan after a minor accident.  I am thinking it would most likely either be from just a bad sensor, a sensor getting no ground, or maybe the car beeing a little out of timing.  If anyone has any ideas please let me know.  Also if anyone else has pulled a code 11 or 12 in the past that would help also.

Thanks!!

Not sure if the newer cars are the same, but on the older Chryslers Code 12 was Recent Battery Disconnect, and Code 11 was No Distrubutor Sync Signal. Since there's no dizzy on the 2.0, Code 11 might be crank or cam sensor.
