yeah the pan i have is steel its big and ugly lol. problem is i don't have a welder or access to one nor am i any good at it I was just trying to find a easy out

easy way out is to measure everything several times and cut it with a 10,000 or more RPM grinder fitted with a cutting wheel
finish it with a sanding wheel
do the same time with 2 thin piece of flat fitted on the pan
bring that to a welder in the end

right on man i appreciate all the help. I have a bunch of poly bushings laying around that i bought for another car but never put them on . One of them fits in our mount  flanges so i planned to just jig up some pipeing and have it welded together to than press my bushings in . but i was planning on makeing two of them because if i send one to this guy i have been talking to on ebay he will make a sweet billet peice
I am also glad that i have to use my 420 head because i have a header and a obx intake for it I will need to get a bigger tb though maybe the 2.4 one is bit bigger
but thanks again i threw somw karma at ya

btw you should invest in a cheap 110V stick welding machine and learn to do simple welding joints

doing a 2.4 require some metal works and at least you will have the chance to make a custom part that can hold together strong enought so you could bring it to a professionnal welder

i am the op and never even said anything about a neon head maybe you should read the thread again i was asking alian about the specifics of my 420 head going on my 2.4 motor . the only reason the word neon is in this post is because the pic of the oil pan i posted was for a neon
As far as not knowing about neons unfortunitly i do i have owend 4 of them so i def know the dif between the neon 420a and the avenger 420a but thanks for clearing it up for me
I hope i havent offended any neon owners with the 420a but thats what it is weather you like it or not Grin

Ahh well my bad then  Smiley You were talking about using 2.4 heads and cams an I got confuzzled I guess  Grin
