yeah dude this thing is creepy.
Not only does it have GPS it communicates to the cops. If you have a light on for more than three days the cops are called. If you get pulled over and the cop takes his laptop out scans your computer finds out all the places youve been speeding cause the computer knows how fast you were going and on what street...automatic tickets.
This is crazy and its in court right now, it wont get passed right away but i guarantee it will be out in the next 5 years.
not to mention the cars that are using fingerprints to start the car not only will they know where you were speeding they will know it was you that did it.

will inside info from the automotive world be enough i have no text but im sure its out there. I go to school for cars and OBD infor is a part of the courses, many of the instructors are pertty involved in these things and there are sites i dont have access to yet unless im in school that talk about it, fixitfirsttime might be a little more knowledgeable about this since hes a master tech. all i know is that its in a few things already just not all together. As of now its being called an invasion of privacy but how long do you think the politicians are gonna see that considering the revenu from speeding tickets? and honestly do you doubt it its pretty natural for this kind of progression they are already checkpointing toll roads in some states and they use cameras in most now if any of those see that you are speeding you get a ticket now the only easier way is to put the technology in the cars. so say your check engine light is on or the brakes light is on and its been on and your near a cop he can pul you over and mandate you get it fixed probably fine you for it and then while hes at it write you tickets for the speeding you were doing on the way home cause you had to pee bad.

either way i will try to dig up more info

10 commandments? lol thats the bible and nothing to do with privacy the laws you are refering to wont stop this by anymeans however since privacy isnt something that is respected by the government. they are already starting to make it dangerous to mod a car now with most of the states trying to make it illegal to upgrade anything on a car(means unless its stock specs then you get a ticket...which is really stupid) so this is pretty much a natural thing.

Its ok though thats why muscle cars are so nice carburators dont call the cops on you!

 Wink

I really gotta wonder if they think this will last i mean its not like they havent found out how to du OBD2 so its only a matter of time before we get OBD3 fixers too. mods to it will come faster than they can even immagine once the tickets start getting issued.

....where there's a will...there's a way....the govt wants to give themselves raises..but they cant with minimum wage THIS HIGH, and not change anything else. which reminds me...since speeding (even 1mph over) is considered breaking the law, and the job of a cop is to intervene when someone is breaking the law..what about the highways where everyone is going over the speed limit and the cop is just sitting there? isnt he THEN breaking the law? something to think about.

Not really. People make the laws. They are laws of man. In a vote, the majority rules. If he pulls someone over, he has to check and make sure he is ready for the argument of 'there are others going faster'. In situations like that, the flow of traffic can be the determining factor on whether you are the one he pulls over or not. If you are travelling faster than the flow of traffic, thats a big red flag that singles you out. One of the reasons alot of times you see people in this country [USA] that are guilty of illegally doing something driving at the speed of traffic or slower than traffic is because they don't want to draw attention to themselves.

To the casual observer, when they glance at traffic, they tend to watch the faster traffic more than the slower. Your mind doesn't want to miss things, therefore, it concentrates on things that are moving faster as opposed to things that aren't. The mentality behind that is that the things that are moving slower will be there when your mind is finished processing the faster moving cars. The downside is, as long as the slower traffic keeps right, there will always be faster traffic, thus, those of illegal intentions/activities will stay 'out of focus'. The ones that will be increasing the flow of traffic [decoy cars] are the ones that will get pulled over first.

Oh no. I understood you perfectly. My statement explains it and a little more if you can read deeper.
