Well we got to the motel 2 hours before check in, hung out outside until we could check in, and just chilled the rest of the night.
Got up a 4am and went to meps to basically wait 1-2 hours for a 5 minute medical exam, then repeated that as we went through the exams. I passed everything with flying colors.
Swore into the DEP(Delayed Entry Program). And went home....LONG DAY (and im not gettin into details...believe me you dont want to know)
Well another little update. When I signed I put on maintenance and airborne jobs (maintenance is mechanics style stuff but usually on planes and such). Today I got a call from my recruiter and he tells me I can have a slot for an open maintenance(MX) job...meaning i could get ANY MX job but not guaranteed any of my choices. Basically when I get to BMT I get a list of jobs in the MX field and I can choose 6 of them. And God willing the AF needs me in one of those jobs, and I get on of my choices. It ships on May 27th.
I dont know if I am going to take this slot, I have until tomorrow to choose. Otherwise I just have to be patient and wait for one of my choosen jobs to open up. But IF I do, and I get the slot, I leave the 27th of May.
