I have a flowmaster 80 series available in my barn, it's for a camaro (dual outlets on opposite sides of muffler with a single inlet)
I was thinking about modifying the outlets piping to both have them coming out the rear
or I was thinking about just replacing all the resonators (i forget how many i counted but it looked like there were alot of resonators on the exhaust system) and leaving the stock muffler on.
The cat has already been removed.
I'm looking for an exhaust with more "character" not rice...i understand it will not sound like a V8 but I want it to be a little louder and a little deeper than stock.
i had a flowmaster 40 with an aftermarket downpipe and it sounded nice and throaty. i left the resonator in. sounded great, just eventually rusted out on me. i'd say go for it.
its currently at the shop, so I dont have a pic of it. its not yet completed, however I did have the flowmasters in. with resonators and a 2.5" exhaust. soon as its ready and i have progress i will post pics.
HAHA.. mine is running striight from the cat right now.. I wouldn't use me as an example.
I have also had the camaro dual outlet on another car.. as long as you have clearance under the car to put it so it won't bottom out ... make sure your crossbrace is lower then the muffler or else next decent bump... bye bye muffler.
I gotta jet to work right now I will get pics of the dual setup on my other car.. and if no one else wants to post up my downpipe thread (where the sound clips are) I'll do that after work also.

Mine's going w/ Flowmaster 44 in Dec. but I'm not sure if I should use a resonator or not cuz the headers and HF Cat or not... Any suggestions? Cuz I will deff. put up sound clips
