I would NOT want a girl for my first kid. Not to say that I wouldn't love her just as much. But once the little girl years are over, and you have boys and periods. I'd rather a son! I'd be so fricken worried about her. I know it's a double standard, but I was a guy that I wouldn't want my girl near, and the parent's never knew. That worries the crap out of me.

Meh, personally I prefer having the girl first. I find girls are generally more protective of their younger siblings.
And I figure so long as my daughter is happy, I can't ask for much more. I know puberty can be hell, but you deal. You have boys, and PMS and whatever......but it is part of life.
I love my daughter, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I feel the same way. Melissa wants 2 girls and naturally I want 2 boys but if God gives us one of each I'd like to have the boy first just for the simple fact that he can look after her and intimidate her little boyfriends so I don't have to. We'll see how it all goes. :crossesfingers:
