Picked up some new 10" Kicker Comp's.... CVR's.
« on: October 06, 2007, 11:28:07 PM »

Yeup.. got them cheap.. mint buy.

They are already swapped in for my 160 pound 15's so it lightens the car a good 100+ pounds.

I am lazy right now.. I forget what is better Paralleled or crossed over? They are crossed over right now.

If I reccolect properly paralleled is better.. with lower Ohmage.

BTW: single channel mono block amp.

I'm glad to see you've made a wiser choice on the speaker size. lol. i've never been a fan of 15's. they seem to distort to much.

What kind of box are they going in [be specific]?

Everyone with GOOD, not bad ['fry electrical system' bad] stereo skills i would like to see post in this thread. I've been trying to learn for awhile about crossovers, parrellels, ways to decrease your ohms and so forth. However, I've not been able to search for these things online due to the fact that I can't ask the author of the articles, 'hey, what does this mean or do?'. However, here on ASOG, I have that option. And I trust you guys more for those reasons.

So please, feel free to educate this stereo noob [me] while your answering Gr8's question.

If i'm to become an Electrician [it pays good. look into it], I need all the free edumacation i can get. lol

'hey, what does this mean or do?'.
run them parallel

What is 'them'? If you knew very little about a car and i told you to turn the switch, what would you think? There is more than 1 switch on a car. lol

Them = both subs..

I'm not so lazy today... I'm looking on the net.

Bad Venge has probly not responded because he knows the amount of info that can be found on this on the net. I highly doubt thats his reason though. He likes to jump in every thread.. Tongue ... thank god he does though. Grin I'll be waiting on his opinion.

It's ok Matt. As long as you learn, that's what matters in the end.
