I got a 06 sebring coupe and i wanna put 22's on it.  I have 20's on it but there is noticible wheel gap.  i asked the garage if i can fit 22's regularly and they said no.  Any ideas of modifications to the wheel wells to make 22's fit???

You will have the same wheel gap no matter what.

If you up the rims size, you have to lower the profile of tires.. either way the outside diameter of the tire will most likely and have to be the same so it doesn't cause problems. Your 20's will probly be the biggest you can go. drop the car about an inch with some eibach springs.

22's?!

I'm sorry, but it's a slightly larger Eclipse, not a Caprice. lol.

That's like trying to get Rosie O'Donnell in a size 2 swimsuit, and it look good. it's just impossible. lol.

that requires alot of body work that you don't want to have to deal with. plus it's a cadillac.

Like it said, FULL size [boat] cars can take 22's with a little bit of work. Mid size cars [Sebring] can handle 20's AT the most with maybe a little work, and 22's with ALOT of work. Like Gr8 said, 22 is the size of the rim [which you already know] but if you measure your tire and rim together you'll find that putting a 22 in there isn't going to do you any good at all. One thing is your turn radius.

The reason the STS had to have the wheel well enlarged is so that the car would still be able to turn. if you ever watch pimp my ride you'll see them have to enlarge the well due to tire scrubbing issues.

I hope this helps.

Also caddy's come on 20's , it doesn't take much to go up two tire sizes ... trying to go up 4 is a lot of work ....cutting/rolling fenders as well as suspension work ...
