Factory alarm wouldn't disarm
« on: September 22, 2007, 01:47:23 AM »

So I'm leaving someone's house at 10:30 at night and when I open the door with the key the alarm goes off and the key in the door won't disarm it. Neighbours start coming out, so I drive off with the horn honking. When I get home I figure out that the passenger lock will disarm it. I pulled the horn relay and fuse and unplugged the horn. I then pulled out the door switch, and you guessed it, totally corroded to the point one of the pins was gone. Yes my interior lights on the driver side haven't worked for a while. I put in a new switch and everything worked fine. My question is, when I tested it the horn honked even though it was still unplugged. It was about half the volume. Is there a second horn, and if so, where is it?

I've looked everywhere. Unless it doesn't look like a horn, maybe a buzzer?  Huh
