Hey guys,

I was planning on upgrading the sound system to my '98.  I see that the stock size is 6.75" speakers, so I assume 6.5"s will fit there with relative ease.  However, I was wondering what kind of modifications, if any to the speakers will be needed.  Will I have to cut off any tabs or make any speaker brackets?  Also, I see that the stock tweeter size is 3", which is kind of a weird size for tweeters.  I plan on getting a component set, so making custom mounts for the tweeters will be a must.  Does anyone have any experience replacing the speakers and/or tweeters that could chime in here?  Or perhaps some pictures of both?

Thanks,
Bill

Alright thanks.  Yeah, I don't like BOSE (Buy Other Stereo Equipment) at all, but thanks for the heads up.  I'll probably just buy a nice component set in the future and make some custom mounts for the tweeters to fit in the spots alright.

Haha, if you think BOSE makes the best speakers ever, you got a lot of reading up to do.  Check out any car audio website and they will tell you how big of a waste BOSE is.  Also, get a set of BOSE speakers and a set of any set like Diamond Audio, CDT Audio, or even Pioneer are you'll be amazed at how crappy the BOSE sounds in comparison.  Sure they are better than some crappy Autobahn or Lanzar speakers, but for the money you can get a set nice way nicer speakers.

I was probably just going to get a set of CDT Audio CL-61A-25 PROs.  I've been wanting them for two years now but I've never had enough money, so I have to save up.
