Plus, stay away from anything that Auto-Bling or any other auto store sell. If you have a sound shop in your area, they should have a wall set up. Like BV said, it depends on if you like highs or lows. Burn a cd of songs you like and see if they will let you play it so that you can get a sample of the music you listen too WITHOUT having to buy the speakers.
I have memphis PR 2 way 6 1/2's in my car and they perform very well with the factory amp.
And if you want to go for a REAL speaker the JL Evolution ZR series is the way to go. But Like the type X's, they are around 600$ or so for the pair. A little to pricey for me, but the owner of the local JL dealer has them and OH MY GOD. They can handle insane power and volume without a hint of distortion

I love them... pump the base.. and they're like front door woofers.
even makes the doors rattle abit when they pump too much. meh.. dynomat somewhere down the line maybe.
