This mod will allow you to have your fog lights lit with your parking lights.

its really simple...go get an automobile fuse holder from
radioshack, take out the 15A foglight fuse and insert a
broken fuse of any amperage (the green 30A in the picture)
so that one end of the fuse holder is jammed into the
right side of the foglight fuse.



then pull up the
taillight relay (shown in the picture) and put the other
leg of the fuse holder into the left-most vertical slot
under the relay...push the relay down and now your fog
lights work with your parking lights!!!

It kills having to have the headlights ON so it should stop it from the brights killing it to ...

fix it soon. trust me. A friend of mine has a 95 MX-6 LS and his brights remind me of holding 2 flash lights out the windows lighting up the road 15 feet in front of his bumper. They are angled down too much. When we drove his MX-6 at night, I was constantly watching the road. He's one of the few that I trust to ride in the passenger seat with, but when I can see how he can see the road 30-40 feet ahead of him, it gets a little disconcerting. When we got in my Avenger the next night, on dim there was a NOTICEABLE difference.

And how do you pop a fuse without installing it? I'm willing to sacrifice a spare 20 or 30, but i need to know how to safely overload it.

bingo lol damn this is gonna be a good mod for me. I have REALLY bright fog lights (literally they illuminate twice as much as my driving lights i can seriously drive with them only though i dont) and it will be nice to have them on in the mornings or during rains and stuff but not the whole system dont know why its nice but it is lol

Just some final questions for a newbie. If I do this mod, will I be able to run my fog lights and my bright headlights at the same time?

In the diagram, it looks like one wire of the automotive fuse goes to the right-side terminal of the fog light relay and actually makes physical contact with the replay, and the other wire of the holder goes to the specified location in the taillight relay.

Are these correct.

If you need ideas on how to pop a fuse, i took a 5A fuse and put it in the Hazards spot [20A] on my Dakota. Cranked it, hit the flashers, turned em off. I used the blinker on both just to make sure. Turned the truck off, went and pulled the 5A out with some needle nose. Sure enough, it was popped. Replace the original fuse back into the holder, and you have your popped fuse for this mod.

A little forewarning: Pick something that's not going to be sensitive electronics.
