Hey guys, its been a while since ive posted, but recently I got into like a fender bender type thing and it smooshed up my front bumper on the passenger side, either way, I took everything (removed basically everything from the front of the car) apart got everything somewhat back the way it should be and put it all back together.... car started up fine, ran fine, but now I am noticing that the front blinkers dont work and neither does the horn. The bulbs are fine and I checked the fuses and they looked fine as well.. the back blinkers work and there is only one blinker fuse that I know of.. I can hear the little horn relay going off when I press the button but no horn... Im just wondering if there is something I am missing or do I need to do a lot of wiring research... Thanks ahead of time...
Ok so I did some testing, and as far as the blinkers go, they are receiving power like they are supposed to, however they are not getting any ground... Does anyone know where the ground is for the Front blinkers and maybe even the horn and fans.?? The car starts and the rear blinkers work so I am assuming they have their own ground somwhere... Thanks
there are two wires running to the turns 1= power 2= ground get an ohm meter and check for ground ... the horn grounds thru the mount , pull the wire check for 12 volts no voltage you have a problem ... 12 volts no horn = bad horn ... fans= same

I know that one is power and the other is ground, what I was saying is that I am getting power from the power wire, but its not getting ground through the ground wire... So I am asking where the ground wires for the blinkers ultimately come from as in where are they getting their ground from (which screw or whatever).... If the horn gets its ground from the mound then why is there 2 wires going to it?? If i could get a wiring diagram I could figure it out, I just dont have access to one right now...
my horn has one wire follow the ground wire I don't have the wire diagram with me either
thats weird, mine definitely has 2, mine is a '95 2.0, Either way, yeah I can try doing that but all of the wires go into the giant wire bundles after only like 5 inches, so to track them would be rather difficult... If thats what it comes to I guess I can do it.. I can always just cut the wires and ground them myself... Thanks for the help though..... If anyone else happens to have access to a wiring diagram that would be great if you could chime in.... I can dream cant I
when you say it has two wires, are those wires connected to each side of the steering wheel [both horn buttons], or are those buttons connected by a single rocker type plate?
im talking about on the horn itself, it has a power and a ground going to it, just like any other electric part on the car. I temporarily fixed the blinkers and horn by just tapping a new wire connected to a nearby ground. The horn though is busted so I have to go grab a new one.. But I believe the fans are still not working so I still need to get my ground problem fixed.. Does like the Haynes manuals not have wiring diagrams in them?? Like I said I dont have access to anything so Im hoping someone might be able to help in locating the grounds..
ok. i'm going to have to pull a couple of extra sources for this one.
I need to know what wiring diagrams you will need. Make me a list.
well I dont know how they are arranged but basically all I need to is to trace the ground wire for the blinkers, horn, and radiator fan back to their source... thats the best I can describe it but anything can help.. I appreciate your effort good to meet people like you.. Thanks..
