I highly recommend you copy/paste BV's post into a .doc and print it out. I also highly recommend you change the damn spark plugs while the engine is out. that way you don't have to break your neck doing it when the engine is in. Timing belt too. NEVER neglect your timing. and make sure you don't break the tensioner...... or saw through it.

so you're pretty much asking if the headers for your engine.. will fit on your engine? they should work fine.

Im not gonna lie I pretty much figured the answer was that the 3.0 headers wont fit into our car no matter wut engine is in there

I believe Matt knows not what he types  Roll Eyes...
IF you read the 3.0 swap info it states that the 2.5 headers will work the 3.0 WILL NOT...
The 3.0 headers come down in a totally different area and hits the kframe /crossmember and won't line up with existing downpipe...
the 2.5 headers bolt up just fine with the downpipes being in the right location ...

Well I got some bad news.... the guy who is basically gonna put in my engine is not gonna be in town for 3 more weeks... He is on a mining job er something in West Virginia... and he isnt gonna wanna put it in right when he gets back.... And I sure as heck cant do this myself... My dad said that if he isnt gonna be back for another month than unless I find someone else to put it in for like 200 bucks Im pretty much screwed... And by screwed I mean Ill just get a new timing belt and water pump at a shop and I wont even get the engine.... So I dunno what Im gonna do... Huh Embarrassed Huh Embarrassed

start taking the engine apart...making it easier on the guy when he comes back..remove the intake and exhaust manifolds. those arent bad...d/c some of the wires...(no cutting)

USE LOTS OF PBLASTER [PB Blaster as people call it] ON THE BOLTS! You don't want to use a generic Water Displacement spray formula number 40. Use the best bolt loosener spray or rust penetrant you can get your hands on. And DO let it set for a little before you go willy nilly on the bolts and snap the heads off.

Ziploc baggy the bolts and use a sharpie to write the part they came from. With an engine dissasembly you do NOT want to lose bolts or cross thread stuff.
