If i swap my 2.5 for a 3.0 from a 04 stratus r/t will i need to do anything to my transmission or will my stock 99 avenger hold it?

 here we go again .... It has never ever been done , it won't bolt up you'll need to make new tranny mounts, and have to rewire the entire strat harness pcm ecu ect ...add to that making new custom axles ect ect ect

$5k MIGHT do it ... It was attempted before with a $3k budget...unfortunately it was a doa tranny person lost interest... car is sitting last I heard

Pretty much listed all the specifics above ... The guy that wa doing it pm'd me constantly with wiring questions ect trying to adapt ..
Took a weeks vacation to help get the wiring done up and got it to fire/run when he tried for a gear the tranny shifter moved but no gears seemed to work... He took it apart to find a main gear/main shaft damaged ... At the last post he sent me he was thinking of having the car hauled to the junkyard ,as he spent too much on the "junkyard" tranny that was junk before he got it

here's an idea.. take the 3.0 + 6spd out of an eclipse and save yourself the time/money.

why not find a 5 speed tranny out of a 3.0 equipped shadow, daytona, or lebaron? shoot while your at it snag the block and use your top end? just a thought
