Turbo Sebrings It has been said that a total of 50 V6 powered Sebring Coupes were equipped with dealer installed Turbochargers. These cars (1999-2000) are very rare, with very little known about them (due to the fact that they were dealer equipped turbo cars, with no identifiable VIN info or documentation). Horsepower was said to be fairly close to the mid 200 range.

Can't say I 've ever heard of them. Any source to this or geographic area? I'll have to try and remember to ask Dave and see if he's ever heard of them.

dealer installed turbos.. on a v6... and just what v6 turbo kit did they use that was available in 99.. because.. well.. dealers don't invent parts.. and dealers know better than to shove even more HP infront of a 604 trans.. ummmm.. yea..

2001 Sebring Coupe - V6 5sp 1995 Sebring Coupe - I4 5sp (Fer sale) 1996 Avenger - No motor.. no trans.. no interior.. 1 door someday it'll be all good. Political correctness advocates the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I think some kid got confused and made some stuff up when he called to ask for parts and they asked him if it was a turbo or not, due to sharing the same parts info as the eclipse...

Cause everything in a public submitted encyclopedia will be 100% accurate. I could make up a disease and put it on there, doesn't mean it would be true.

Inflamatous Nykondias Syndrome........ or INS for short, is said to be a rather mysterious viral organism, who's noted effectiveness is rather lacking. Until this virus mutates into a more effective and result delivering variation... those that would apparently be the only ones affected by the INS virus, have no fear of any confrontation with it.
That was the definition i've found. lol

i think they may be talking about the r/t versions of the avengers that were used as show cars..but..other than that..there's nothing i could think of....even then they would be avengers....sebrings were luxury oriented..not power..so its even less likely.."bring" proof...

that turbo on the engine you saw was a 2.0L or 2.4L, Both are 4 cyl engines. all you have to do is see the number of spark plug wires that are in the picture: there are 4. Therefore, it is either a turbo charged 2.4L in a Sebring [which is the most likely] or it is simply a transplated 420A. Judging by the looks of it, i am betting on a 420A. One of the valve covers for a front wheel drive V6 is going to be facing you at an angle, not facing straight up toward the hood. Not to mention the Oil Cap is on the wrong side of the valve cover.
