hi all im preaty sure i blew up my motor today. i drove about 3 blocks and all of a sudden i see some smoke comming out of the hood and i can hear belt squeal.  im a block from work ( where i was headed) and i figgured it was just the serpintine belt rubbing on something and ill check it when i get to work. 2 mins later the check engin light start to blink and then the car shuttered and died. i poped the hood and saw smoke pooring from the timing belt cover. i pulled of the cover and all thats left of the belt is melted ruber stuck to the cam lol. i tried to move the cam but it wont spin( i used a wrench on the bolt of the top cam the one by the valve cover). i know tallton motors blow when the timing belt goes and im guessing the same is true with this motor since its mitsubshi. i know the avenger will fit in aslong as its auto tranny but do the sirrus and stratis motor fit as well. i heard that the stratis make 3-4 more horse so is the motor different? and also is this motor zero clerance? or is the top end just screwed. im thinking for the price to rip off the top end i might as well just find a engine and do it all. asy help would be great:)
