im not talkin about looks im talkin about performance its a very good performing car especially when you shove the twin turbos in it they handle very very well. as far as looks go only the S15s top the sebring imo.

Schoeby, about how much did the S14 Clip and SR20DET cost you?

It set me back about 3500 and i sold a lot of the parts off it to make some of the money back.  In the end I think it was around 2100 or so.

oh i hate you guys for bringing this up.... i was upsest with 240sx.  I almost bought S14 but it was Auto and then didn't find any other good S14s.  S13 is an awesome car if you put money into it!   Simple turbo set up, stiffen up the rear end and some wide wheels === and you got yourself a simple drift car!

But my true love is 97+  s14 with DRFT body kit *drooool*  http://www.c-west.co.jp/drft/img/s14_front.jpg    or vertex http://www.gtautostyle.com/nissan/S14/VertexF.jpg

I got few asian kids around at my school who are rolling in few good looking 240's ....

Damn it!!!!!!! Now it makes me wonder.... S14 or VW GTi?

and about KA vs SR,  i dont remember exactly but i believe KAs are more flexible to get much bigger power gains than SRs... This could be a huge debate  Tongue Tongue Tongue

The SR20DET gives more possibilities than the KA24DE. Even if you were to turbo the KA24DE it wouldn't be more. The torque is alot at low RPMs, however, as you reach 90mph, there is a noticeable lack of top end torque. At 115mph, the 240 [S14 that is] is pretty stable and i experienced no 'looseness'.

i dont have that kind of money laying around to get R32  Cry .   I would love to get 97+ s14 but i like them only with aftermarket bodykit (stock just doesnt cut it.... not a ricer, but just my personal preference) but winters here give pretty nice inches of snow thus making it imposibile to drive car like that during winter.  have a beater for winter and DD... well again, dont have that much money laying around

still in college and dont have rich parents to spoil me hahaha

the mrk IV GTI is about the same as a used R32 the R32 is maybe 4-5 grand more check carmax ive found them for about 24 and a newish(06 mark IV i think is what they are called) GTI is 20. for 4 grand more its worth it...now you could get ahold of a old(well last gen) camaro or mustang(ugh dont get one of these they are fords) for a lot less and move quite a bit faster. for a lot cheaper so that means you can pour in the left over for mods.

Now if you are going with the previous gen GTI its a lot cheaper as in 16 grand. still the old pony cars are a lot cheaper COUCH camaro COUGHvvv Wink

i am aiming for about 2002 GTI in range of +/- $9000 most likelly.   Yeah i was thinking about that too, about Mustang or what not.... but then i want european car (maybe cause i am Russian haha), GTi is a damn nice car. Besides, when i was looking for my 1st car, I was searching for a Mark 3 GTi but couldn't find any good deals on my price range and by luck and desperation stumbled on Avenger.... so now i kinda need to finish first wish but this time Mark 4.    Also, one of my buddies just got Mark 4 GTi (traded in his Civic EX), its really nice - bright red color with tinted and smoked all around.  Then another good friend already has BMW E46, also red color.  Third friend is thinking of getting an Audi A4 1.8turbo.... so there is another inpsiration on getting the GTI.... but i want it black or dark blue color.

for now its all dreams, i need to get rid of my BMW e36 1st.... ( got it as a present, but its more of a torture for me trying to sell it... )

gotta ask why you are getting rid of the BMW and not the venge instead...how close are you to FL and how much do you want for it? i may just be interested if you are close enough.

I don't know where you live Ivan, but i searched Autotrader for you with a 500 mile [yes i know. 500 miles] radius from my zip, and a 99-2004 got 75+ results, os there should be plenty of GTI's out there. I've been a long time VW fan. lol

Well Aaron I got the car like a gift from my mom's boss.  I bought it for like $500 of him because he was getting a brand new car and my mom kinda told him that I could use a replacement for my Avenger.   Even before I got the car, I decided to sell both cars to get something else -- a GTi for example.  Both cars are 1995 and I want something younger.

Selling beemer 1st because I can get more money off beemer than venge, besides venge is my DD and beemer is not even insured so it's illegal to drive.  After i sell beemer i can start looking for GTi's and kinda see my price options.

Well I live in Northern Virginia, took me and my bro about 14 hours to get to St. Petersburg  Lips sealed
Right now I just started it at $6995.  Its in great mechanical shape with only like 67k miles.  Interior is great but exterior is little bit in rough shape, got la ot of scratches and few dings here and there.  I am open for negotiations and got 2 guys (one from Texas and another from West Virgina) who are really intrested in the car right now.
