Listen.... Called my mechanic today. He wants me to go get full synthetic oil and put it right in over top the pennzoil... He won't take putting in part synthetic for an answer... So should I just get part synthetic and tell him " Here just put this in.. I'm paying ya for it."?
i would def tell him to just put it in, b/c you ARE paying him to do it. i know he may be trying to do you a favor based on his knowledge, but you are ultimately his customer, so he shouldn't have a problem doing what you pay him to (regarding servicing your car, that is… lol). i think i would def consider doing away with the penzoil also… considering what Nykon had to say about it.

Castrol or bust!  Empty out all Penzzoil.  Get a durablend Castrol and put it in.  I would not trust this guy, I would watch him do the oil change or find a new mechanic.

He knows a good bit about this car I just want him to use part synthetic instead. So I'm going to get castrol part synthetic and getting a purolator filter.. Get the system flushed too>?

nah, don't flush, just change, over time the detergents in the oil will take care of things.

Flushing can cause trauma.
