Flooded Engine Issues

Hey Guys, good to see some old faces.

Well I just traveled back from Colorado to visit the folks in Illinois (1000 mile trip).  Car ran fine on the way back, then when I go to start it this morning it would just turn over but not start.  It used to do this from time to time back when I lived here (humid as hell) but not to this extent.

Its getting gas I know because I pulled a plug and it was wet, not to mention the smell from the tail pipe (although sometimes I confuse it with the beer smell coming from my tailpipe...).  I first took off the cap to see how corroded the rotor and cap looked.  They weren't great, but not terrible.  I cleaned them up a little, but had no effect on starting (plugs might have still been fouled tho).  I pulled the CAI off to see that it had sucked in some grime/dirt which were coating the inside of the pipe (thanks Dreamspeed!).  So I am guessing that maybe a sensor has become dirt (IAT, MAP, etc) and is telling the computer to dump fuel.  I dunno.

Unfortunately I have none of my books or my data logger to tap in to see what it may be.

I would appreciate any ideas you might have.  As nice as Illinois is.....  I want to get back to CO.

Thanks Guys.

Are you getting any CELs?  Are you sure you're getting spark?  I'd burn out all the fuel in the cylinder and then try starting it again if you're spark is good.

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

Nope, no CEL's.  Not positive I am getting a great spark, but it will sputter from time to time, as if its trying to catch, but I think the ECU is dumping fuel to the cylinders, fouling the plugs.  I disconnected the fuel relays and turned it over to try to air out the plugs.  No luck yet.

Did you check all cylinders??  Maybe the cylinders you checked are filled with gas because they don't have spark, and the ones getting spark aren't enough to kick it.
