Dear sebring experts,
a week ago my i saw engine trouble indicator, but engine sounds perfect i was sure that i have troubles with my torque module again, so i keep on driving, i was sure that everything looks ok. Service workers couldn't find solution . few days ago when i start engine it sounds like rattle, i thought that i can drive to my service shop, but after 1 mile car engine stops, cooling fluid was boiling, i waited till cooling fluid cool down and i try to start engine again... starter works all visible belts spin correctly, but distribution belt starts to tear off. weel where belt is hook don't spin.

when i took off distribution belt cover it looks like this ...

Car counter have 112000 miles. Distribution belt was changed twice, last time at 90000 miles
How do you thing is car repair would be expensive ? Is there any sense to repair this car, or i should dispossess this car (i love this car:()
What should i do first if i would like to do this by myself, do i have to remove engine to get to this part of engine i need to repair.
I read at this board that Haynes have great repair manual to my car/engine. Does any one have computer version of this book and could spare it via mail or link me to it.
Becouse i have no chance for shipping this book to poland in short time - waiting time is few months and price is very high.

Please HELP !
Thank YOU in advice Smiley

Looks to me like the water pump seized up.  The water pump pulley is the uppermost pulley in the middle.  Have a friend turn the engine over and watch it to see if it spins.  If not, you will need to replace it, look here:  http://asog.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,30/topic,2493.0  You will be fine to do it, but having a friend will be better.

THX;] I'm gonna check this possibility, it would be better when it's only water pomp hung and needs change. I wish pistons were still intact ! OK, I'll come back soon and write what i figure out :]

Problem with car is over :]
Great, I just recived my car from my mechanic, and its works great. Enemytoast you were right. it was water pump. water pump stuck over engine block frame, distribution belt stuck and both distribution axis get demaged, two pistons was destroyed. Everything else in engine was intact (like new). So now engine is refreshed, and it sounds great when hot (all intake and exhaust gaskets was changed), and not that great when idle. Car still had its uniqe proformance (much better than my dad's 2006 2.7 sebring coupe, my friend's mitsubishi 2005 eclipse) Now i had to do something with silencer (buy new one probably) becouse car sound a little bit like raceing machine. I bought parts at mitsubishi (cheaper in poland) and whole repair cost me 1800 $ (5000 PLN).
Thank you all for help here on board and via mail. I hope soon i'll be conversant to help you too Smiley
