Went to baseball today and late in my second game the wind started picking up crazy and I hit the biggest homerun me or anyone has seen on my team with the wind (I hit the house past the second fence of the ball diamond, like 300+ feet)... in softball thats nuts.. so I was feeling proud. Real dark clouds were passing north of us though... it looked like tornado weather for sure, the clouds were swirling on top of us and everything. Little did I know we were at the edge of the storm. After the game I wentabout 10-15 miles north to the cabin that we're building to go help my dad who was already there and there's trees fallen all over the place, across the road, on power lines, and on cabins. I thought a damn tornado hit or something. Well it was only a wind storm, so we think for now till we hear something on the news and my dad got footage right in the middle of it outside the cabin.
During the storm. (you can hear trees cracking and falling over)
wow. haven't seen the aftermath yet. but i've driven in weather like that. i was bored and didn't know it was a hurricane. got tired of driving 30 mph so i turned back.
That's some crazy storm. I can remember a few like that at my parents house and they live in dense woods too. Always cool to see the rain go sideways. They get the tail end of hurricanes down there as well. We were in one when we were kids in a beach house in NC that was pretty cool.
ive been in wearther like that lol hurrican charlie. and it doesnt really look like a tornado those usually twist things around so trees look spun and not snapped
Oh and i deff wasnt bored in charlie but the others that hit FL were boring...
