got two any idea what the price is to replace the valve cover seal is and the one for the oil pan too? i havent taken a look yet but yeah thats whats leaking. Oh and i have some radiator leak as well though im not sure where....its small but enough to leak coolant at a nice rate so im filling twice a month.
Valve cover gasket is really easy, just make sure you use some silicon in the sharp corners, and replace the plug tube seals.
Oil pan, not as easy but pretty easy, i would just do it myself. If you want a walkthrough on how to do the valve cover gasket I am going to be doing mine soon, I can do a writeup.

i have a shop that i can work at with car lifts so im good with doing it myself. I jsut had tires put on cause i had a wonderful flat while school was not in and couldnt fix it and needed the car and the car didnt come with the spare!!!(GOD I HATE THE WOMAN WHO SOLD ME THIS THING). Any idea on price? Im VERY strapped for cash...Write ups are ALWAYS welcome though if not for me then for others
do you smell the coolant when driving? like it's only coming out then. idk if you've already looked or not, but i had a coolant leak once and it was b/c the ppl that changed my upper hose put too large of one on and it was rubbing on the oil cap, eventually creating a hole. (i know, i know, that's too easy too change to have someone do it, but in my defense they were doing other stuff so i just told 'em to go ahead and do that too while they were at it.) needless to say i changed it when i found that leak with one that is actually the rite size. worth a look… might be an inexpensive, easy fix.

i'm a peripheral visionary. i can see into the future, but way off to the side.
Do NOT use a flex hose. they are bad. They rust way too easily. mine had one on it when I bought it. it quickly got replaced. They are good for very short term fixes but not permanent.
no coolent smell while im driving...its such an annoyng leak there since i sure as hell cant see one anywhere near any of the coolant hoses and the car doesnt really leave any water on the floor. The oil leaks im going to fix im just wondering what the cost it for those seals...havent checked into it yet since i havnt got the money yet....(GRR I REALLY NEED A NEW JOB)

...what hose cant be flexed? or is that the brand?
aaron..clean the engine...wipe it down basically...and then check everyday to find the source..
This is a picture of my engine before i bought the car, the top radiator hose is a flex hose. Take a thin walled coolant hose, give it an accordian fold design that allows it to be curved or bent to a custom application, then put a spring the length of the hose to keep it from collapsing. The spring is metal so it will rust eventually. The Flex Hose you see in the picture was only on there for 5 months and it was starting to rust noticeably.
And YES i changed the Valve cover. it is no longer that horrid shade of green.
