catalytic converter question

Easy question. Besides the horrible smell, what are the other signs that your catalytic converter has decided to finally quit workin on you??

You'd get a CEL code for your downstream O₂ sensor is bad.

if the crap inside finally decided to break apart and melt together, you could feel some hesitation in your car if theres a big enough chunk in there blocking the exhaust. you could also try hittin the bottom of the cat, if you hear rattles inside, bye bye cat

Sorry to bust in but I had the high-flow cat installed and now my exhaust stinks like old coffee grounds Huh

WTF is that? Only thing wrong that I know of is I'm running lean on bank 1. Could that have anything to do with that funky smell or no?

i haven't heard of that before. does it smell really bad? i was thinking of getting a hiflow cat as well. other than the smell, do you notice any other changes like mpg increase or anything?

its not too bad just smells like someone threw some bad starbucks on my rear and I didnt smell it until it got installed. until I get my upstream sensor replaced I cant really tell if I got an MPG increase and its been raining here lately so I havent really got a chance to put some hurt on it yet to notice an increase in anything Sad

I made mine high flow... Took it off, and beat the crap out of the inside.. Its hollow.. no smells
