computer??

Does anyone have some good resources for getting a new computer for a '95 Avenger? I think mine is cah-putting out on me. Also, is that some that you can DIY? Or do you have to have any special tools for it?

kewl, thanks for the info. great site, btw.

so i take it a used one will be just as good as a new one? providing there's nothing wrong with it, of course.

oh yeah, is this pretty much plug-n-play? do you have to program it? have programed to accomodate for CAI? sorry, haven't really had time to research all of that stuff yet.
thanks again!

i've found a computer, but the salvage yard's site is saying it's for a sebring. will that matter since i'm getting it for an avenger? or do the sebrings and avengers use the same computer? i don't wanna waste my time on something that's not rite for my car.

you have to be VERY careful.

The only computer that will work from a sebring is a sebring COUPE.. ask 3 or 4 times if it came from a coupe or a vert.  if it's from a vert.. it won't work.

also.. don't mix up model years.. 95 and 96 used different computers from 97+

kewl, thanks

i'm gonna see the car it comes out of, so i'll def make sure it's a coupe (good looking out, cus i def didn't know that). it is suppose to be a '95 so i should be alright. i don't know much about the sebrings, as far as differences in models, so are there any tale tell signs of it being a '95? i can tell on the venges, but not so much on the brings. thanks again.

also, if i test it on the spot—aka plug it in b4 i buy it—to make sure it'll work, that's not gonna mess anything up will it? i mean, once i plug my original back up everything sould be back to the way it was rite?
