Window Tint Removal
« on: June 19, 2007, 12:39:05 PM »

Ok. The law keeps me from killing stupid people. Nature doesn't, but nature won't give me the chair. lol.

I'm trying to take the tint off my back glass........................ anyone that has done this understands my frustration. Tint's on the inside. I've used the Gila Tint removal spray, that worked for everything ABOVE the defroster. I need to know what works at DISSOLVING the tint film quickly without damaging the defrosters.

Any ideas that are feaseable and factual?

I've had good luck using a heat gun and slowly peeling once you get it up use the heat gun under the film it loosens the glue up then pull some more ...
3M adhesive remover and a WHITE scotchbrite pad to remove the glue ,
