Sooo... about three years or so after my CEL lights up, I finally get it looked into fully (otherwise I fail inspection).

after running a smoke test, shop says they have to drop the gas tank. A sensor there is bad, and thus the issue (no longer making a seal)

well, they call me up, say it's rusted.

new gas tank from Chrysler (with all attachments): 1200 Dollars (u.s.)!!!!!

so, they are looking for used.

argh!!! go me!!!

i'd do that if I had the space and machines to convert it. anyone know how? haha!

well, right now we are looking at options across the board.

Dave, they said that the sensors are rusted to the tank, so they had to drop it to get them soaked, didn't work (two days of soaking), so yeah.... ugh!!

it's still in the shop. for those keeping track.

I've never had this happen before from these guys. They have always been good. Dunno what gives.
