wattage has nothing to do with it can the speakers handle it? thats the question, get yourself a nice Equalzer(EQ) ballance it out so that that much wattage doesnt kill the speakers or so your bass doesnt muddy your mains a 10 band is adequate but i would go for 20 or more if you can.

depending on your headunit you may have a good EQ already there(not those factory settings look for a setting you can change the ammount of a single bandwidth on and start tuning) sit in the car and enjoy listening to music while tuning it to your liking beware any interference or humming sounds, this usualy means some speaker is getting to much power and is just vibrating the living f*ck out of its surround which is REALLY bad.

be careful of what gets what if you have a sub make sure its getting only the low bandwidths that is very imortant higher ones can actually damage subs and low bandwidths can hurt your mains. thats where lowpass and highpass come in.

also if you can split the difference between how sound moves remember that you sit on the left side of the car so sound waves from the left hit you faster than the ones on the right and once again depending on the head unit you can slow or speed up sound from the mains and on some HUs the subs too. this helps the sound sound more cohesive its a small change but it does make a difference.

Nicely put. You get some karma for that one! So I've been doing a little more research onto this Boss speakers and its seems that the blade xtreme series has a better layout. Anyone want to elaborate on this one please?  Smiley

dont really know much about Boss to tell the truth do some good research out there htere are a few brands thought to be top end and they are tottal trash i can say hat Sony and Kicker are more money for less quality. though both are ok. also stay away from the shaped subs the square and pentagon shaped subs are nice looking but i have heard bad things about them.

well i do not believe kicker is bad quality for more money. in fact i have 2 kicker L5 dual 4 ohm subs (the square ones) that i have had for about 4 years now and i got them for less than $100 each. pushing them i have 2 kicker KX 600.1 amps which are just as old and still pump out a ton of bass, last time i got it metered it hit 139.7db's without tuning and not at full load.

the other brands out there. if you think about the dynamics of what a sub does, it doesnt actually make a sound it just pushes air at a frequency...a very LOW frequency, when a sub is round its got even push and is going to move the same amount of air all the way around square subs are going to have focal points and flat spots due to the corners air wont move from the corners this will make an uneven bass wave(its gonna be strong none the less though).  dba means little if the sound quality as a whole is poor. Kicker is a good bargain but i personaly believe that the money spent on other brands is better spent since i have had trouble with kicker and so have friends of mine.but i have to say that none of that really matters in a car stereo unless you are in competition what sounds good sounds good and as long as you power it correctly and keep the frequencies right it will all pretty much sound good.....stick with the CEA compliant Kicker(and everything else unless you are buyin JBL) stuff that way you know its doing what its claimed to do. also i did not say BAD quality just less quality for the money they are cheap and  good speakers, could be better though, but they have come a long way since thier first speakers/amps.
