Greetings All! I'm NOT NEW, my s/n WAS 'JynX', but for some reason I can't login under it anymore... ANYWAY! My brake lights and ambers in my headlights is the problem... Went to turn on my headlights and heard the fuse blow...changed it 6 times! Fuses blow on contact, the second I turn the knob, the fuses blow! So uh, I'm driving @ night with NO TAILS! ONLY brake lights and turn signals! I can't figure what it could be...Could something be touching?? PLEASE HELP!!
HELP!!! PLEASE!!! The Memeber Formerly Known As JynX!
Did you have a purple car? I remember your name.
Anyway, pull your tail lights out and see if there is any condensation build up (sometimes leaking through the truck causes it). Check all the wires in that area, they may be corroding if there was enough condensation. You'll need to replace them. Also check up by your headlights too. It's possible there is a bad seal and water is getting in from rain and car washes.
I had this same problem with my Nissan Sentra, it was the taillights.

Mod List. Um WAY too many to fit on here. But the engine can handle about 800HP
Purple car, no. Mine is Gold/Cafe Latte', i'll put my ol' sig back up.
Install anything lately...naw...not in the last 2 months really...last thing i installed was my neon setup under the dash... but i do recall pluggin in my phone charger and hearing a strange sound...like a fuse blowing, just didn't think about it at the time... hmmm... And it rained here tonight, and I don't go to work til late tomorrow, so I'm gonna check all my grounds... anything else i should check or do?
On the driver side, yes... But i guess i kinda wrote off that it could be water damage... But if it is in fact a ground poblem...where would i begin? I mean, the problem is in the fuse box under the hood, so in which spot would i begin checking for problems? And i also thought (might be dumb) to put some 'electrical grease' on the fuse before putting it in...? By the way, i replaced it yesterday...and it worked for like 30 minutes, and as soon as it got pitch black outside, it blew!!! I could tell because the time on my stock radio got bright! I'm not sure if any of this points to helpful tips, but some direction would greatly appreciated!
