« on: June 05, 2007, 11:39:14 PM »

Does any one think it would be possible to do such a thing. would you hook it up up to the battery  just off the post for the positive or would you have to plug it in like the stock one is with the big square plug and the little post???

There are 220 Amp alternators ... Unless you need 440 amps you shouldn't need two

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

plus that thing will suck more power for YOU, more accessories to spin with the engine power = bad!

just add some wind powered recharges all over your car (like those windmills) ... faster you move, more juice you get  Grin

No.  What are you trying to power, a small train?

Really though, get one with a higher output.  Also get a grounding kit and do the "big 3 upgrade".   Bad Venge posted it in the electrical area I believe.

i did the big three already and high output alternators are expensive and the alternator will only suck out as much horse power as a load you put on it so. so if i have 2 in theory it would be less from both of them and not as much when i pull alot for my stereo. does any one know how to hook it up?

Why would you think that two complete alternators and all their rotating mass is batter than a single high output alternator?  Trust us, high output is the way to go.

Well buying a second alternator + building the mounts+ belts + doubling the drag+ adding more heat in an already cramped engine compartment does sound MUCH better then laying down $300 for a bigger alternator ...
