Hi everyone, I just purchased a 1999 Dodge Avenger yesterday. I stopped to buy groceries on the way home and when taking them out of the trunk, I noticed that some of the items (everything on the left side of the trunk) was very hot. I lifted up the rug to expose underneath and almost burnt myself. The entire left side of the trunk was very very hot, the middle and right side were the normal outdoor temperature. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the heat shield but I'm not too sure and haven't had the chance to buy a chilton manual or anything yet. I was just wondering if any of you have had the same problem or might know what it could be. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Do you have a manual or anything that says at least how far away it should be? (In case it's already that far away, then I can begin brainstorming what else it could be).
