Only reason the car is on hold is because there is no existing platform or plant to build it in. Well, that and it's not been 'greenlighted' for production.

Chrysler often makes driveable prototypes. Just "how" driveable is another story. Wink

It's much smaller than a Viper. Think "Solstice/Sky/Miata" fighter.

what i meant by viper is that the viper started out like this car did on a platform that didnt exist and there was no real way to build it as there was no plant, the car (viper) greenlighted only because of public opinion, so this could be the new viper if public opinion is good enough Dodge will build it somehow.

It would be worthy of the name Avenger.

The Viper is also an $80000 very limited quantity vehicle. And was primarily greenlighted because Lutz wanted to go against GM and the Corvette.

Demon would need to exist with other models on a common platform to be viable at it's intended price point.

they will build the car chrysler is in financial limbo since mercedes dropped them. therefore a prototye is out of real budget unlss its in serious consideration for production, think Miatas sky/solstice is not  large volume vehicle (albeit more than viper) either so the demon will make it....eventually its a no brainer

Mercedes didn't drop Chrysler, because Mercedes never owned them. DaimlerChrysler did.

Some pundits say that if the Demon makes it, it'll be part of the Chery deal along with the Hornet.

daimler is mercedes
Daimler owns Mercedes, along with smart, Freightliner, and Sterling, among others. And, until the deal goes through, it owns Chrysler.

Diamler is sorta like GM they are a conglomerate of the companies that stratuscaster listed ,though mercedes is more or less THE backbone of the comany. Chrysler will build the Demon like i said eventualy and possibly not in the form that you see in the link i posted this car has brought to much positive response from public and the media for chrysler to ignore and believe me they wont skip this oppertunity to make a buck by providing a nice alternative to the meakly styled MX-5 and the overweight(ish) Ponitac/Staurn cars. either way its gonna be pretty badass
